| The Classical Method
I have been using this method in homeschooling my oldest girl since
age 6. We especially enjoy studying history using Susan's books. The good
thing about classical homeschooling is that it provides us with a guideline
to follow so that we know what to do next. I would usually do my own teaching
plan hence I did not invest in any homeschooling books such as Sonlight.
The drawback with the classical method is that it is too parent-driven
as opposed to the montessori method which is child-driven. I'm now trying
to incorporate this method with the montessori method so that it works
in my family. |
